Terms & conditions

These are the terms on which Haute Ateliersells to you. Placing an order or sending an enquiry means you accept them. We've tried to write them in plain English rather than legalese.

Who we are

Haute Atelier is a women's fashion boutique based in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. We stitch original designer pieces, make garments to order, sell unstitched fabric, and carry out alterations.

Prices and payment

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of all taxes.
• Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay. See our shipping page.
• Online payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see your card or UPI details.
• Cash on Delivery is available on unstitched fabric only. One-of-a-kind pieces require payment online.
• Custom stitching and alterations are quoted individually and agreed with you on WhatsApp before any work starts.

When your order is confirmed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is confirmed when we accept it and message you on WhatsApp. If we can't fulfil it — because something sold, or a price was listed in error — we'll tell you and refund you in full.

Our ready-made pieces are one of a kind. Occasionally two people reach the same piece at the same moment; where that happens, the first completed order takes it, and we'll refund the other in full and talk to them about stitching something similar.

Photographs and colour

We photograph our work as honestly as we can, but screens differ and fabric behaves differently in different light. Small variations between a photograph and the piece in your hands are normal, especially with hand-dyed and handloom material, and aren't a defect.

Handmade pieces

Our work is made by hand. Slight irregularities in embroidery, weave and finish are characteristic of handwork — they're the mark of a person having made it, not a fault.

Custom orders

• Custom pieces are made to the measurements you give us. Please measure carefully, or let us guide you on WhatsApp.
• We'll confirm fabric, fit, price and timeline with you before starting.
• Once cutting has begun, a custom order cannot be cancelled or refunded — the fabric is committed to your measurements.

Returns

We do not accept returns or exchanges. Please read our returns and refunds policy in full before ordering — it explains the one exception, for items that arrive damaged or wrong.

Our right to refuse

We may decline or cancel an order — for instance where a listing was wrong, where we suspect fraud, or where repeated Cash on Delivery orders have been refused. If we do, you'll get a full refund of anything paid.

Content on this site

The designs, photographs and text on this site are ours. Please don't copy or reuse them commercially without asking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Punjab have jurisdiction over any dispute.
